HEATHCOTE Primary School welcomed twenty new foundation enrolments this year.

Principal Carolyn Crowther said she is pleased with their progress.

“After a successful transition program in 2024, the students have settled into school life smoothly,” she said.

“It has been lovely to welcome 20 new students to Heathcote Primary School.

“Our grade 6 students are all excited about the buddy program and eager to work with their buddies throughout the year.

“We are very lucky to have a dedicated team of staff supporting students and making sure they have the best possible start to their primary school life.”

HPS principal Carolyn Crowther said the new foundation students are in good hands with teacher Kirsty Hamilton and teaching assistants Ash Whicher, Taygen Francis and David Close.

Teacher Kirsty Hamilton said the foundation students are all settling into the school environment beautifully.

“They are all eager to come each day which is wonderful,” she said.

“This week we introduced classroom jobs, and they have all learnt what they need to do.

“They are excited about making new friends and they all love the basketball court and the bikes.

“I have been at the school for three years and this is my first teaching Foundation students. I am looking forward to a great year ahead.”
