Redevelopment of tlc Healthcare’s Belmont aged care home and medical centre begins
REDEVELOPMENT on The Belmont Residential Aged Care precinct has begun courtesy of provider TLC Healthcare.
The $27 million project will see extensive renovation works including the construction of 15 new opulent suites and upgrades to the existing aged care facilities and medical centre.
The new residential rooms are each set to boast separate loungerooms and bedrooms, ensuites, kitchenettes, and private balconies.
TLC Healthcare CEO, Lou Pascuzzi, said The Belmont’s transformation will ensure its status as one of the top healthcare precincts in the Geelong region.
“This development aligns seamlessly with TLC Healthcare’s commitment to excellence, complementing our existing healthcare precincts in Armstrong Creek and Wallington,” he said.
“All TLC aged care residences are co-located with community medical centres and allied health services, catering to both their residents and the local community.”
Sensor radar fall detection will be installed in every suite to allow for improved safety while the site’s recreational capabilities will be expanded with a hydrotherapy pool and gymnasium.
Additional consulting suites are set to be added to the adjacent Belmont Medical Centre which will cater for expanded allied health services such as hydrotherapy and physiotherapy programs.
Residents living at the aged care facilities as well as visitors and patients with the medical centre can access the site via Dean Street while construction is underway.
Personalised tours of the precinct can be booked online at tlcthebelmont.com.au while further enquiries can be made by contacting The Belmont’s resident liaison Janelle on 0456 589 174.
