HEATHCOTE Football Netball Club’s ladies’ day fundraiser is set for Barrack Reserve on Saturday 29 July.

HFNC secretary Belinda Dennis said this year the club event was supporting the pancreatic cancer charity Pancare.

“We thought that the day would be a really good way to raise funds and give back to others,” she said.

“It’s about the community as well, we don’t want it to just be the Heathcote supporters who come to the footy every weekend.

“We’d love to get people from around town and other areas to come along as well.”

The $30 admission includes entry to the ground, finger food, entertainment, and a drink on arrival.

Visitors can expect to see purple replace the usual red, white and black as it’s also a memorial day for the Saints.

“It’s when we remember the people we’ve lost from the club,” Ms Dennis said.

“The day starts at 2pm and lasts until at least then end of the seniors match which is at 5pm.

“But because it’s also memorial day, that’s purple day, people generally hang around afterwards and have a few drinks.”

Tickets are available at the gate, from Eventbrite where a booking fee will apply, and from Bec Dickinson on 0447 332 350 or Belinda Dennis on 0474 466 113.
