Spooktacular fun for scary season
DRAGONS and skeletons, fairies and ghosts mingled along High Street on Tuesday eventing for the Halloween Spooktacular, Trunk or Treat.
Children of all ages attended the event and organisers were pleased with the response.
“It’s awesome,” said Samantha West. “Everyone has made so much effort.”
A number of community business and organisations chipped in to put on the event.
“We are thrilled by the amount of people who helped to make it a fun night,” said Ruth Walker Austin.
“Special thanks go to Palling Bros Brewery, Ray White and Paper Craft for their donations, and Foodshare who organised the barbecue.
“It’s all turned out so well that we are going to start planning next year’s even bigger event in December.”
The response for trick or treaters was just as enthusiastic.
“I think it’s good that everyone is being nice to each other,” said seven-year-old Ashley.
Decorated cars lined the street and children were able to trick or treat at the car boots and stalls.
“Just seeing the smiles on all the kids’ faces makes it all worthwhile,” said David Austin.
