AS part of the CFA’s GET FIRE READY campaign during the month of October, Heathcote Fire Brigade will hold an information session on Sunday 12 October.
The session will include an informal chat and free barbeque.
“The fire season is fast approaching and it’s important to start preparing your property and re visit your Bush Fire survival plan,” said community safety coordinator Evan Pritchard.
“Our members will be on hand to answer any questions and help you to understand your fire risk and what to do in case of an emergency.
“Topics covered will include what to pack in the event of evacuation, emergency assembly locations and how to prepare and protect your property.
“You’ll also be able to have look around the station and see what we do.
“And there will be plenty of activities and fairy floss for the kids as well.”
The session will start at 11am at the fire station and everyone is welcome.
