Tiny art big on creativity
HEATHCOTE Library is calling on young and old to unleash their inner artist for the upcoming Tiny Art Show.
The show will be held at the library throughout February.
“We’re thrilled to invite the community to unleash their creativity at Heathcote Library’s Tiny Art Show,” library assistant Emily Alexandra said.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to create something special on a tiny scale.
“The Tiny Art Show is all about celebrating creativity in every form.
“Whether you’re an experienced artist or just giving it a go, we encourage everyone to participate.
“Pick up a canvas, let your imagination run wild, and bring your mini masterpiece back by 31 January. We can’t wait to showcase your creations in our exhibition for the whole of February.”
The exhibition will begin with a gala opening event, with details to be announced on the library’s Facebook page.
“This program is open to all ages and abilities, so whether you’re five or 95, there’s a place for your art in this unique community display,” Ms Alexandra said.
“Art has a way of bringing people together, and we’re excited to see the diverse and colourful creations our community will contribute to the Tiny Art Show.
“Heathcote has some truly talented and accomplished artists, as well as emerging artists, complete beginners and everyday enthusiasts so we are excited to see the variety of art our community produces together.”
Budding artists can pick up a mini canvas from the library on Tuesdays from 9am to noon, Thursdays and Fridays from 9am to 5pm and Saturdays from 9am to noon.
