Tooborac Primary School turns 150
TOOBORAC Primary School has just turned one hundred and fifty and planning is now underway for a community celebration later this year.
School business manager Mardi Ollett said everyone was welcome to come along on Saturday, 14 October to help mark the occasion.
“At this stage we are planning a daytime celebration at the school,” she said. “This is to showcase the school in the current day, with many more festivities in planning for the day as well.
“In the late afternoon and evening, we would like to see a social gathering at the Tooborac Hall of past students, teachers, families catching up and sharing stories.
“I’ve created a Facebook group called Tooborac Primary School 150th Birthday and I’m hoping people will put photos and memories on there as a central point of interest.
“As a past student and with a long family history with Tooborac Primary, I would really love to see the school celebrated.”
