Two fun nights for film festival
TICKETS for the Heathcote Short Film Festival’s Picnic and Popcorn, and Gala Dinner nights are on sale.
The popular festival is in its twelfth year.
“We received over 60 entries from film makers all over the world,” said committee member Duncan McGann.
“The entries have been whittled down to what we believe are the very best viewing.
“There were a large number of comedies so the night will reflect this, and attendees can come ready to have a giggle.
“We are thrilled with the growth of the festival, with submissions coming in from all corners of the world as our reputation grows.
“The quality of the submissions we are receiving is gratifying too.
“There are several film premieres this year, from here and abroad, which is very exciting and several filmmakers are planning to attend the Friday night session to support the festival.”
Both sessions will show exactly the same films. For the Picnic and Popcorn Night on Friday 13 September, attendees are free to bring snacks as they watch two hours of films with complimentary popcorn. Tickets are $25.
On Saturday 14 September, attendees will sit down to a three-course dinner. Tickets are $95 per head.
“There is no BYO drinks as local wines, gin and beer will be available for purchase on the night,” said Mr McGann.
