What’s available over Christmas and New Year

STAFF and volunteers at many of our local services take a well-earned break over the Christmas and New Year period or operate on reduced hours.

The RFDS Heathcote Community Transport Service will be operating with reduced coverage. The last day to book in before the office closure period was Friday 12 December.

There will be pre-booked trips only from Monday 15 December 2025 to Friday 9 January. No bookings are available between Wednesday 24 December 2025 to Friday 2 January.

The service will reopen for business as usual from Monday 12 January.

Anyone who needs to make changes or cancel a pre-booked trip during this time can call and leave a voicemail message with the trip details and the change needed.

The x-ray department at Heathcote Health will be closed from Monday 22 December until 5 January.

Heathcote Primary Health will close at 3pm on 24 December and will reopen on 5 January. For all emergencies contact the hospital, which will be open every day.

Heathcote Post Office and Gifts will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

The store will be open for usual trading on other days.

Heathcote IGA will be closed on Christmas Day but will operate on normal hours over the rest of the period.

Petrol stations will operate as normal over the Christmas period.

Heathcote Pharmacy will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day but will operate as normal on other days.

The Heathcote Visitors Centre will be open on all days except Christmas Day from 9am to 4.30pm.
