TO show their appreciation for local community support, the Combined Arms Training Centre – Australian Army, is holding an open day at Puckapunyal tomorrow.

As a restricted-entry base, the event presents a unique opportunity to view firsthand the vehicles and equipment used to train Australian Defence Force soldiers, and see them in action.

Team members will talk about their Army experiences and visitors can be a part of the military community for a day.

Puckapunyal has a history dating back to World War One, when troops first trained at the site.

Colloquially known as Pucka, it continues as an Australian Army training facility.

People who are not a Defence Common Access Card holders need to register via bit.ly/3OUYUnz by Friday 1 September.

Entry is free and access is via Labuan Road, Puckapunyal, 10 kilometres west of Seymour.
