PRESSURE will be high at Lockington and Toolleen in Saturday’s sixth round of senior footy in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL season.

Stung by a 25-point loss at Leitchville last Saturday, Lockington Bamawm United faces a White Hills team on the rebound from its first defeat this season.

The Stacy Fiske-coached LBU was beaten in every quarter by Leitchville Gunbower.

It was Leitchville-Gunbower’s first win since April 16 last year at Huntly and Shannon Keam’s first as the Bombers’ coach.

Lockington is rarely beaten at home, but its most recent game at Locky ended in a 65-58 win against the Jed Brain-coached Colbinabbin.

White Hills could not stop Mount Pleasant’s charge to a 51-point win in the Demons’ den at Winslow Constructors Oval in Scott Street.

The Demons were down 37-8 at quarter-time.

Best for White Hills in the clash with the Blues were Thomas Brereton, Ben Taylor and co-coaches Jake Pallpratt and Jack Fallon.

Another big match will be at Toolleen where the ladder-leading Mount Pleasant takes on the third-placed Heathcote.

A Mounts’ attack led by Ben Weightman and Mitch Rovers is in hot form, while ruckman Chris Down and Adam Baird are keys in a formidable on-ball division.

The Andrew Saladino-coached Heathcote turned a two-point deficit at half-time into a 37-point win against Elmore on the Saints’ ground at Barrack Reserve.

The Saints will look to Liam Jacques, Codie Price, Corey Grindlay and Braden Padmore to lead the way to victory against the Blues.

North Bendigo is back at Hibo Hotel Oval in Atkins Street to take on Leitchville Gunbower.

The Bulldogs’ form has fluctuated from brilliant to bad in the past two games ,but they are unbeaten.

Huntly is home at Specialist Breeders Australia Oval in Strauch Reserve to take on Colbinabbin.

Elmore has the bye.
