Bowlers raise funds for SES, Flying Doctors

HEATHCOTE Bowling Club will host a fundraising Triples Tournament on Australia Day.

The January 26 event will start at 10am.

Funds will be shared by SES Heathcote and Royal Flying Doctor Service Heathcote.

Tuesday Night Social Bowls resumes on January 14 at 7pm.

Midweek pennant bowls for Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields Region resumes on January 13 at 10am.

Heathcote will be at home to play Woodbury in the division two contest.

The Saints scored a 13-shot win on Woodbury’s greens at Bendigo Club in Strathdale on November 4.

Weekend pennant resumes on January 18.

The Saints have achieved a win-loss tally of six-one to be a clear leader on the division three ladder.

Heathcote will play Castlemaine in the ninth round.

When these teams met in round two it was Heathcote which beat the Magpies by 25 shots on the Saints’ turf.

In division six, Heathcote has home-green advantage against Strathfieldsaye.
