Bowls club calls for nominations

NOMINATIONS are being sought for various positions as Heathcote Bowls Club prepares for its annual general meeting to be held on Sunday, May 19 at 2pm.

Social bowls will be played this Saturday from 1pm.

Despite the morning rain and threatening skies on Saturday, a group of eight bowlers played three games of pairs. Winners were Greg Speirs (s) and Ilona Hutterer, three wins, 45 points, +12 shots.

Runners-up were Frank Dimauro (s) and Ralph Scott, two wins, 30 points, +7 shots.

A field of 21 bowlers, which included five Tuesday Nighters, played in humid conditions on April 3. Three games of pairs and triples was played.

Winners were Greg Speirs (s) and Cheryl Flower, three wins, 46 points, +23 shots.

Runners-up were Rod Hansen (s) and Ilona Hutterer, three wins, 42 points, +17 shots.

The Roy Tattersall Memorial Triples on Anzac Day at 10am is fully booked.
