THREE big contests will be played in Saturday’s fifteenth round of senior footy in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL season.

Matches at Heathcote, Gunbower and White Hills could all carry match of day status as results will have a significant bearing on the order of the top five.

The ladder-leading Heathcote is back home at Barrack Reserve to take on Mount Pleasant.

When these clubs met in round six it was the Andrew Saladino coached Heathcote which won by nine points.

Key players for the Saints include Jesse Davies, Will Direen, Braden Padmore and Codie Price.

Heathcote’s defence will be up against Ben Weightman, Mitch Bennett and Mitch Rovers.

Jointly coached by Adam Baird and Ben Weightman, Mount Pleasant has dropped to fourth after consecutive defeats.

Massive challenge for the Blues against a Heathcote line-up which has shown it has plenty of talent in a 10-2 run.

At Winslow Constructors Oval in Scott Street, White Hills it’s the Demons up against Lockington Bamawm United.

Last Saturday’s win on Mount Pleasant’s turf at Toolleen has put White Hills in third place and holding the crucial double chance for finals time.

The Stacy Fiske-coached LBU is on the rebound from a loss to Leitchville Gunbower for the second time this season.

Despite being at home the Cats were outplayed in three of four quarters in a 51-point loss to the Bombers.

The Jack Fallon and Jake Pallpratt-coached White Hills won at Lockington in round six by 14 points.

Leitchville Gunbower is back at Gunbower to take on North Bendigo.

In the past two rounds the Shannon Keam-coached Bombers have beaten Mount Pleasant and LBU.

A danger game for the Rob Bennett-coached North Bendigo as it fights to regain top spot on the ladder.

Colbinabbin is back home at M.J. Morgan Oval to take on Huntly.

Although the Jed Brain-coached Colbinabbin has a record of 2-10 it’s been ultra-competitive in a lot of matches.

The Harry Whittle and Jayden Cordy-coached Hawks had the bye last round and will be desperate to mark their second victory of the season.

Elmore has the bye.
