HEAT will be high on the footy field as Heathcote head to White Hills for a clash in Saturday’s third round of the Bendigo Bank Heathcote District Football Netball League season.

It’s a massive test for the Andrew Saladino-coached Heathcote as it strives to mark a hat-trick of victories.

This match will be under the Scott Street lights in White Hills from 6.15pm.

Heathcote has opened the season with wins at Colbinabbin and at home against Leitchville Gunbower.

This round the pressure ramps up as White Hills marks its first home game of ’23.

The Jack Fallon and Jake Pallpratt-coached Demons are refreshed by a bye after winning the season opener at Leitchville.

There is plenty of goalkicking power in the Demons and Saints line-ups.

Among the recruiting coups for White Hills was luring Kaiden Antonowicz, a Ron Best medallist as the Bendigo FNL’s leading goalkicker in his time at South Bendigo to the den.

Also in the red and black are Liam Bartels, Mitch Dole, Brady Childs, Patrick Eefting and captain Rhys Irwin.

Pressure in all areas of the ground has resulted in scores of 77 and 143 points in the Saints run.

Gun forward Corey Grindlay kicked eight goals in Heathcote’s win against LG and will test the Demons’ defence.

Back with the Saints after stints at Bridgewater and Golden Square, Liam Jacques has starred in both wins.

Heathcote has Braden Padmore, Codie Price, Jesse Davies, Jordan and Kai Cavallaro, Thomas Pain and Will Long capable of winning many contests.
