HEATHCOTE faces a massive task against Mount Pleasant in Saturday’s 10th round in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL senior footy season.

The Saints will be on their turf at Pigeon Park in Barrack Reserve to tackle the Blues from 2.30pm.

Heathcote has drawn just one match this season.

The Saints were thumped by 114 points when they met Mount Pleasant in round one at Colbinabbin’s M.J. Morgan Oval.

A Heathcote line-up coached by Andrew Saladino and Liam Jacques again rued a third-quarter blitz by an opponent last round.

This time it was Huntly which turned a 38-36 lead at half-time into a 45-point buffer after it slammed on 6.6 to 1.3 in the third term.

A 111-74 victory meant the Hawks are now perched on the ladder’s third rung.

Heathcote’s best against the Hawks were Rhys Bolton, Zak Saad, Ibrahim Taha and Dylan Johnstone.

The Saints tackle a Mount Pleasant team on the rebound from a 16-point loss to Colbinabbin on the Grasshoppers’ turf.

Key players for the Blues include ruckman Chris Down, on-baller Jack Hickman, Joey Bell, and William Wallace in defence.

It’s the clash of the Hawks and Cats as Harlowe Huntly Hawks play Lockington Bamawm United at Huntly’s Strauch Reserve.

The Jayden Howe-coached LBU marked a two-goal win against Huntly in round one at Lockington.

A win will ensure Huntly holds its place in the top three as LBU fights to stay in the race for a top-five berth.

Leitchville Gunbower takes on the Winslow Constructors White Hills Demons in Gunbower.

The Shannon Keam-coached Bombers won the rematch of the ’24 grand finalists at White Hills in round one by 38 points.

Elmore hosts the unbeaten North Bendigo.

Just eight points separated the Bloods and Bulldogs in round one at Bendigo Club Oval in North Bendigo.
