Pairs vie for championship success

HEATHCOTE Bowls Club will host the mixed pairs and life members pairs championships on 5 and 6 April.

More entries will be accepted.

Mixed social bowls will be played this Saturday from 1pm on Heathcote’s greens.

A field of 17 bowlers played three games of pairs and triples in last Saturday’s warm conditions.

Winners were Ray Anderson (s) and Ilona Hutterer, three wins, 44 points, +15 shots.

Runners-up were Eileen O’Brien (s) and Ron, two wins, 35 points, +14 shots.

Social bowls on 25 March drew 25 members of the Snowy River Caravan Club.

Winners were Daniel Fitton (s), Ilona Hutterer and Deb (from Caravan Club).

Runners-up were Denis Kilner (s), Ellis Knight, Tim and Lou (from Caravan Club).

The Heathcote Bowls Club’s annual general meeting will be held on Sunday 25 May at 2pm.

All positions are vacant and members are encouraged to nominate for a position.
