AFTER missing the past three rounds, Billy Price is a chance to return to Heathcote’s senior footy team as the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL hits the halfway mark of the home and away series this Saturday.

Third in the premiership race, Heathcote will be back on home turf at Barrack Reserve to take on Huntly in the eighth round.

The Andrew Saladino-coached Saints will be determined to improve on a five and two record and stay clear of White Hills which is fourth on an identical win-loss tally.

A previous winner of Heathcote’s fairest and best award, Billy Price has not played since 13 May when the Saints won at home against Elmore.

Henry McCarthy is another pushing for a return after being sidelined for the past two games when the Saints beat Lockington Bamawm United, and were beaten at North Bendigo.

Kai Cavallaro could also be back after being sidelined for the duel with the Bulldogs.

The Saints will start hot favourite against the winless Huntly.

It’s been a brilliant first year at Heathcote by key forward Corey Grindlay who has kicked 41 goals.

Other key players in the Saints’ march to the third rung include on-ballers Liam Jacques and Braden Padmore, captain Codie Price at half-back, and Will Direen and Connor Hamilton in defence.

Heathcote could mark a hat-trick of wins as it plays Huntly, Colbinabbin, and Leitchville-Gunbower across the next three Saturdays.
