Saints aim to bounce back against Roos

HEATHCOTE will be aiming to bounce back from its second defeat of the season when it hosts Kangaroo Flat in Saturday’s division three match in Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields weekend pennant bowls.
The Saints and Roos will clash from 1.30pm.
Heathcote’s winning run was broken in last Saturday’s match at Marong.
The Marong line-up won 12-84 to 6-81.

The Luxford-skipped rink fought back from a four-shot deficit after end 17 to win the next four ends and claim a 21-20 victory.
Despite the defeat on Marong’s turf the Saints hold top spot on the ladder.
A four-shot win by Heathcote in division six against the ladder-leading kept the Saints in touch with the top four.
The Saints are two points behind fourth-placed North Bendigo going into Saturday’s match on Kangaroo Flat’s turf.
In a superb team performance, Heathcote outplayed the Magpies, 14-58 to 2-54.

After drawing level by the end of eight ends, Berger’s rink took control and won the final end by four shots to claim a 20-15 victory.
In midweek pennant, Heathcote will roll on to Bendigo East for Monday’s final round in the home-and-away series.
The Saints take on the division two leaders from 10am.
In last Monday’s hot conditions, Heathcote hosted Harcourt.
The visitors won 72-46.
