“I have spoken with a number of women and there is often a feeling that they won’t be good enough to play,” said committee member Liz Tobin.<\/p>\n
“This program is designed to help deal with the perception that you must be a great golfer to play.”<\/p>\n
No previous experience is necessary.<\/p>\n
The club will have free tuition available, and will provide clubs and balls.<\/p>\n
The Get Into Golf day will run on Sunday 24 August from 2pm to 3.30pm at the Heathcote Golf Club, 61 Patterson Street, Heathcote.<\/p>\n
For those who like the experience and want to take it further, there will be follow-up sessions available.<\/p>\n
