THE Junior School Council at Heathcote Primary School organised a Plushies and Pyjamas Day to celebrate the end of term two.<\/p>\n
Students were invited to donate a gold coin with all funds raised going the Heathcote SES.<\/p>\n
“Every year each class elects two students to be their JSC representatives,” said Heathcote Primary School principal Carolyn Crowther.<\/p>\n
“The JSC then chooses a local organisation to raise money for and this year, they identified the SES.<\/p>\n
“In the afternoon, on the last day of term, SES members visited the school and showed the students the truck and some of the equipment they use in emergencies.<\/p>\n
“The JSC students then thanked the SES volunteers who attended and presented them with a $140 donation.”<\/p>\n
The visit was a hit with all the students.<\/p>\n
“In the words of one of our foundation students, the day was epic,” said Ms Crowther.<\/p>\n
“We are very grateful for the visit and would like to extend our thanks to the SES for their time and support.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
