TWO young members of Heathcote Taekwondo have worked hard to achieve their black belts.<\/p>\n

Mackenzie and Gemma were also presented with their Kukkiwon certificates by Grand Master Jack Rozinszky recently.<\/p>\n

Rozinszky founded the club more than 30 years ago as a division of the Melbourne Taekwondo Centre he started in 1963. “It was a pleasure to be with you all,” said Rozinszky, who visits the club regularly.<\/p>\n

“It is wonderful that the club has continued for 30 years and is still going strong. I am very proud.”<\/p>\n

The girls trained hard to achieve their black belts.<\/p>\n

“Congratulations to Mackenzie and Gemma on achieving their black belts after a lot of hard work,” said Joan Stammers.<\/p>\n

“Well done, girls.”<\/p>\n

Kukkiwon Certification is the internationally recognised black belt certification for World Taekwondo.<\/p>\n

The Heathcote Taekwondo Club trains on Thursday nights at Barrack Reserve starting at 6pm and offers the first two sessions free of charge.<\/p>\n
