An unbeaten streak by Heathcote ended on eight after last Saturday’s four-shot loss to Serpentine.<\/p>\n
A great contest on the Saints ground ended in a 76-72 win for the visitors.<\/p>\n
Chris Morcom 18 lt B. Long 20, Bill Gardiner 23 d N. Tonkin 14, Adam Luxford 13 lt D. Walker 22, Maurice Lee 18 lt R. Hasty 20.<\/p>\n
It was a shot the difference after 12 ends in the Morcom and Long match.<\/p>\n
The Saints were down by a shot going into the last end which was won by Long to seal a 20-18 victory.<\/p>\n

From there it was the Walker-rink led from Serpentine which ran away to win by nine shots.<\/p>\n
Maurice Lee’s rink bowled well to be level on the 8th and 10th ends.<\/p>\n
The Rick Hasty-skipped rink from Serpentine won a top match, 20-18.<\/p>\n
In division six, Heathcote scored a 62-48 victory on Eaglehawk’s turf.<\/p>\n

The Saints are home at Heathcote for this Saturday’s clash with Strathfieldsaye Maroon.<\/p>\n
In midweek pennant, Heathcote will host Castlemaine in next Monday’s match from 10am.<\/p>\n
