Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Friends of the Bendigo Kilmore Rail Trail president Adrian Cummins expressed gratitude for the considerable funds from the Heathcote Lions Club for the installation of the water station.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The establishment of the water station at the Heathcote Trail Head of the O&#8217;Keefe Rail Trail will provide a much needed asset,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It will benefit the local community and other visitors who come to enjoy using the trail.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Heathcote Lions Club has supported many projects and causes since its inception 50 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier last year it was feared the club might fold due to a lack of members.<\/p>\n<p>Numbers have increased but more members are still needed to help the club continue its work in the community.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone interested in joining can contact Mr Spiers on 0408 332 235.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WALKERS, runners and bike riders on the O&#8217;Keefe Rail Trail will be able to access a refreshing drink of water thanks to the Heathcote Lions Club.
