The pool closed almost 12 months ago after some patrons reported receiving electric shocks.<\/p>\n
Ms Douglas was at the pool and talked to patrons, who gave the opening a tick of approval.<\/p>\n
“One lady told me she had really missed the pool,” Ms Douglas said.<\/p>\n
“She said it is so good for her mental health.<\/p>\n
“Another lady said she really appreciated it as it helps to get her legs moving.<\/p>\n
“I talked to a man from Bendigo who had been following the story of our pool and came over for the opening.<\/p>\n
“DJ Brooksy provided some great music, which added to the atmosphere.<\/p>\n
“Our pool is a real oasis in the oppressive heat.”<\/p>\n
Ms Douglas thanked the community for their support<\/p>\n
Local mother Jamie Villella attended the opening with her two children Angus and Sophie.<\/p>\n
“It’s been a pretty sad summer until now,” she said.<\/p>\n
“It’s so great to see the pool open.”<\/p>\n
Starting today and continuing on 13 and 27 February and 13 March, the pool will host community nights.<\/p>\n
Picnic blankets will be available from 4pm or patrons can bring their own.<\/p>\n
Pool opening hours for the rest of the season are: Monday and Tuesday 10am to 7pm; Wednesday to Friday 2pm to 7pm; and weekends from noon to 7pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
