Photo: SANDRA JAMES<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It will be a great opportunity for anyone who has ever wanted to try bowling,&#8221; co-organiser Adam Luxford said. &#8220;Bowling is accessible, anyone can have a go.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No experience is necessary. Photo: SANDRA JAMES<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve made some great friendships over the years,&#8221; he said. &#8220;There are some from when I first started bowling.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The club is using the event to encourage new members, with free social memberships, normally $30 per year, available on the night.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We live in a growing, bustling town and we&#8217;d like to build the club membership,&#8221; Mr Luxford said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Both new and long-term residents will have the opportunity to try the game in a relaxed atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Membership has dropped a little over the past couple of years and we&#8217;d like to build it up again.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2026\/02\/Barefootbowls2024_63174.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Something for all: Heathcote Bowling Club holds a thriving barefoot bowls event throughout summer as well as competition bowls.
