A CHANCE to qualify for finals is at stake when Heathcote takes on Bendigo East in next Monday’s division three match in Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields’ midweek pennant bowls.<\/p>\n
The Saints will be on home greens to play the Magpies from 10am in the 14th and final round of the home-and-away series.<\/p>\n
Heathcote must win and needs White Hills to beat Castlemaine to qualify for finals.<\/p>\n
The Saints scored a four-shot win at Bendigo East in round 7.<\/p>\n
Heathcote rolled to a 79-51 win against Harcourt last Monday.<\/p>\n

A slim chance of Heathcote reaching the division six finals is now gone.<\/p>\n

The Australia Day fundraiser was an outstanding success.<\/p>\n
Although the day’s bowls was cancelled because of the heat, a tally of more than $4200 was raised for the Heathcote Community House Food Relief Fund.<\/p>\n
Heathcote Bowling Club thanks the raffle prize donors, ticket sellers and buyers, and all who assisted to make the day a resounding success.<\/p>\n
A field of 13 played three games of pairs and triples in hot and humid conditions on 28 January.<\/p>\n
The winners were Daniel Fitton (s) and Joe McCarthy on three wins, 44 points, +15 shots.<\/p>\n
Runners-up were Richard Edwards (s) and Karen Royal on two wins, 34 points and +18 shots.<\/p>\n
The jackpot was not won.<\/p>\n
Social bowls on 21 January was played in warm conditions.<\/p>\n
A field of 22 contested three games of pairs and triples.<\/p>\n
The winners were Chris Morcom (s) and Ilona Hutterer on three wins, 41 points, +9 shots.<\/p>\n
Runners-up were Eileen O’Brien (s), Greg Speirs and Cheryl Flower on two wins, 36 points, +20 shots.<\/p>\n
