THE Sisterhood Project will conduct three Baby and Child First Aid sessions in Heathcote throughout 2026.<\/p>\n

The sessions are designed specifically for parents, grandparents, carers and community members who want practical, hands-on skills to respond confidently in an emergency.<\/p>\n

Participants will gain knowledge and skills in how to manage common childhood accidents, injuries and illnesses common in children from birth to teens<\/p>\n

The sessions will cover CPR, choking, common childhood illnesses, and when to seek medical care.<\/p>\n

Babies are very welcome to attend, and sessions are interactive, practical and supportive.<\/p>\n

“Every parent deserves to feel confident in an emergency, no matter where they live,” said Grace Larson, managing director of The Sisterhood Project.<\/p>\n

“These sessions are about building informed, empowered and capable communities.<\/p>\n

“In rural towns, specialist paediatric emergency services can be further away.<\/p>\n

“Knowing what to do in those first critical minutes can truly save a child’s life.<\/p>\n

“These classes are supported by funding from the Community Bank Heathcote and\u00a0Nagambie allowing us to remove cost barriers and ensure access for families across the region.”<\/p>\n

The first session will be held at Heathcote Community House on Tuesday 31 March at 11am.<\/p>\n

The second and third sessions will be held at Heathcote Bowls Club on Tuesday 26 May and Tuesday 29 September both starting at 12pm<\/p>\n
