CELEBRATING the start of the grape harvest and the region’s vibrant autumn culture, the Heathcote Harvest Festival will return to Barrack Reserve on Sunday 8 March.<\/p>\n

Since its establishment in 2022, the Harvest Festival has become one of the most popular autumn events for locals and visitors.<\/p>\n

The event showcases the best of Heathcote’s local producers against a backdrop of live music.<\/p>\n

“We put a lot of effort into finding really exciting music acts,” said vice-president of Heathcote Tourism & Development, India Munari.<\/p>\n

“They are generally all original artists.<\/p>\n

“This year will be no different with the energetic and talented, Doc Halibut headlining the event.<\/p>\n

“Over the last couple of years, the addition of craft distillers ENVY & In Good Spirits have really added another element to the event.<\/p>\n

“It is one of the most important events on the Heathcote Tourism Calendar and a great excuse to visit Heathcote for the long weekend.”<\/p>\n

Gates will open at 4pm with a twilight market featuring an array of local and regional vendors, including boutique wine, craft beer and spirit producers, artisan food trucks, and unique market stalls.<\/p>\n

The family event also features lawn games and face painting.<\/p>\n

“We want to make it really family friendly so there’ll be a bunch of lawn games for the kids to get stuck into as well as face painting available,” said Ms Munari.<\/p>\n

“This year’s music program promises a mix of rock, blues and original sounds reflecting the creative spirit of the region.<\/p>\n

“Music lovers will be treated to a stellar lineup across the night, featuring Doc Halibut, Luke Harrington and the Hoodoo Heathens, and Beth String Fix performing live on the main stage.<\/p>\n

“Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and chairs and settle in for an evening of tastes and tunes.<\/p>\n

“Admission is $10 per adult, which includes a festival glass to enjoy purchases from the drink vendors.<\/p>\n

“Children under 18 years of age enter free, reinforcing the family-friendly nature of the celebration.”<\/p>\n
