{"id":102855,"date":"2026-03-13T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-12T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mcivortimes\/?p=102855"},"modified":"2026-03-11T21:09:17","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T10:09:17","slug":"harvest-festival-the-biggest-yet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mcivortimes\/news\/harvest-festival-the-biggest-yet\/","title":{"rendered":"Harvest Festival the biggest yet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MORE than 1500 adults and children attended the Heathcote Harvest Festival last weekend, making it the biggest and most successful festival to date.<\/p>\n<p>There was also a record number of stalls.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Blessed by excellent weather, a rocking headline act, and good humour amongst the crowd, it was a day to remember,&#8221; said Peter Young, president of Heathcote Tourism and Development Inc.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was also encouraging to see that a large number of attendees were out of town visitors, with many coming specifically for the event.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2026\/03\/Harvestfest20263_79607.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sue from Sue\u2019s Handmade Crafts was another first timer at the festival.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I would like to thank Wright&#8217;s Transport, who donated the stage, and The Barn for providing hay bales.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I hope everyone supports these businesses, as they support us.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Thanks also go to Raph Beh and Melissa Jensen from City of Bendigo for compliance and marketing support.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are also very grateful to all the volunteers who helped out on the day to help make the even a success.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And, last but no means least, thanks to Amy Larsen for coordinating the event logistics, supported on the day by her husband Phil, and India Munari for organising the sound and music.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Vice-president of Heathcote Tourism and Development, India Munari, said the organising committee were thrilled with the number of people who attended the event.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2026\/03\/Harvestfest20264_81598.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">TOP LEFT: All welcome: Terry Tan, from Seymour, with his dog Biscoff, attended the Harvest Festival for the first time and said it was great to see all the different wine producers.
