{"id":102867,"date":"2026-03-15T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-14T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mcivortimes\/?p=102867"},"modified":"2026-03-11T22:47:42","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T11:47:42","slug":"birthday-event-a-roaring-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mcivortimes\/news\/birthday-event-a-roaring-success\/","title":{"rendered":"Birthday event a roaring success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HEATHCOTE Cars, Coffee and Bikes celebrated its second birthday last Sunday in ideal weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p>A large contingent supported the event with visitors from Melbourne and Bendigo joining locals to view the array of classic cars and bikes.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_102869\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-102869\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-102869\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2026\/03\/Carbirthday3_47372-600x380.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"380\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-102869\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Monique attended the event to talk to owners and gather ideas for the car she is working on at home, which she expects to bring to a future event.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am hugely grateful to all the amazing people, and animals, who came out to support the Heathcote Cars, Coffee and Bikes second birthday event,&#8221; said event founder Kylie Ryan.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m always blown away by the wonderful people who take the time to stop, chat, and share their stories and journeys with me.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;One gentleman told me he had finally purchased the dream car his 15-year-old self had always wanted and was now living the dream.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_102870\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-102870\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-102870\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2026\/03\/Carbirthday4_50076-600x380.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"380\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-102870\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Older cars and newer models, in all colours and sizes, lined High Street to celebrate the Cars, Coffee and Bikes 2nd birthday last Sunday.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s stories like that which make this event all the more special.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Attendees enjoyed coffee and treats from local businesses, viewed the vehicles and swapped stories.<\/p>\n<p>Among the cars and bikes were classics from the 1940s to modern machines.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There were some truly beautiful cars and bikes on display on Sunday, along with a few new faces,&#8221; said Ms Ryan.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was great to meet everyone.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_102871\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-102871\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-102871\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2026\/03\/Carbirthday5_51751-600x380.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"380\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-102871\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">During the morning attendees were thrilled to see a procession of more than 100 bikes travelling through the town.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A big thank you to Sandra and Charlie for the fantastic job they did supporting the event with snow cones and a free stick of fairy floss.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The ongoing support means so much, and I&#8217;m incredibly grateful.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am really looking forward to seeing what the next year brings as the event keeps growing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ms Ryan started the event two years ago to bring people together after COVID and support local businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The event continues to grow with locals and visitors mingling to share their love of cars and bikes.<\/p>\n<p>The next Cars, Coffee and Bikes will be held on Sunday 12 April from 9am to 12pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HEATHCOTE Cars, Coffee and Bikes celebrated its second birthday last Sunday in ideal weather conditions.
