HEATHCOTE Night Branch of CWA Victoria will present a Strong Women – Strong Community session on Sunday 22 March.<\/p>\n
“Community members are invited to hear from three inspiring women in the community,” said branch treasurer Sandra Fox.<\/p>\n
“These women generously give their time and energy to help make our regional community such a vibrant and interesting place to live.<\/p>\n
“Amanda Collins is the author of the book Not Dead Yet, Jo Stanford is founder of Women in the Community of Heathcote, and Maree Hingston is founder of Mudbrick Motley Productions.<\/p>\n
“Participants will be inspired by the women who are actively involved in our small community.<\/p>\n
“I am sure attendees will take away many ideas they can use in their own lives.”<\/p>\n
Maree Hingston is an actor who has appeared in Blue Heelers and SeaChange.<\/p>\n
Ms Hingston came to Heathcote 20 years ago and used her breadth of experience to put together local productions and raise valuable funds for the local community.<\/p>\n
She has opened up opportunities for the local community to experience amateur theatre.<\/p>\n
A CWA homemade light afternoon tea will follow the stories and conversations by the guest speakers.<\/p>\n
The event will be held at Heathcote Bowling Club, 1 Herriot Street, Heathcote, at 2pm.<\/p>\n
