MORE than 45 people attended the Strong Women, Strong Community event hosted by CWA Heathcote Night recently.<\/p>\n

The event featured Jo Stanford, Amanda Collins and Maree Hingston sharing their stories about their contributions to the region.<\/p>\n

“It was a great afternoon,” said CWA member Sandra Fox.<\/p>\n

“As well as fantastic support from the local community, a contingent of CWA members from other areas attended.<\/p>\n

“We welcomed attendees of all ages and were really happy with how it all went.<\/p>\n

“I think everyone enjoyed hearing our guest speakers.<\/p>\n

“We are very grateful to the Bowls Club for providing the venue and to local florist Que Sera for the flowers we presented to the guest speakers.”<\/p>\n

More than 45 people attended the Strong Women, Strong Communities afternoon to hear inspirational stories from three local women.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

Local resident Pam Boyes said the afternoon was very enjoyable.<\/p>\n

“It was a big turnout, a really good and happy crowd,” she said.<\/p>\n

“Each speaker had a very different story to tell and provided lots of laughs as well as some more serious topics.<\/p>\n

“There was lots of enthusiastic talk, and I think everyone left feeling inspired.<\/p>\n

“And, of course, there was a delicious afternoon tea.”<\/p>\n

CWA Heathcote Night will be manning the barbeque at the next Lions Market, holding cake stalls and selling Christmas treats later in the year.<\/p>\n
