COMMEMORATING service and sacrifice, Heathcote RSL Sub Branch will begin Anzac Day with a dawn service at Lone Pine Memorial on Camp Street followed by a gunfire breakfast in the RSL Hall.<\/p>\n
Everyone is welcome to join the breakfast for a gold coin donation.<\/p>\n
“We will hold a commemoration service in the hall will be held at 10am featuring guest speakers, local schools and official guests,” said Heathcote RSL Sub Branch president Miles Humphrey.<\/p>\n
Both community and personal wreaths will be welcome at the wreath laying ceremony at the cenotaph, beginning at 10.45am.<\/p>\n
The ceremony will be followed by a march along High Street with new and old military vehicles attending.<\/p>\n
“Everyone is welcome to join us for lunch at the RSL Hall following the march at a cost of $10 per person,” said Humphrey.<\/p>\n
“Throughout the afternoon we will have raffles, two-up games and refreshments.”<\/p>\n
Pyalong Neighbourhood House invites the community and local areas to attend the 2026 Pyalong Anzac Day Commemorative Service, a celebration of courage and sacrifice.<\/p>\n
They ask that Pyalong Primary School students assemble at the Pyalong General Store at 10.45am, dressed in their school shirts, along with all those wishing to participate in the march up High Street.<\/p>\n
The ceremony will commence at 11am at the Pyalong Memorial Garden.<\/p>\n
“The ceremony will be very similar to previous Anzac Day commemorations,” said neighbourhood house president Moira Waye.<\/p>\n
“We are again fortunate to have the piper who appeared on the back of the truck in the AC\/DC music clip.<\/p>\n
“John Hunter will sing and a local man will recite a poem.<\/p>\n
“Names of past servicemen from the area will be printed out and carried by marchers.<\/p>\n
