“We had a fantastic athletics day together,” said Holy Rosary principal Jen Roberts.<\/p>\n
“The weather held off for us, the kids were very enthusiastic and the vibe around the ground was brilliant.<\/p>\n
“The students participated really well and worked so well in their colour groups.<\/p>\n
“It didn’t matter which school you were from – they all got along tremendously well.<\/p>\n
“Our thanks to the organising committee, especially Larissa from Heathcote Primary.<\/p>\n
“The day was well organised and supported by family and friends from both schools as well as several local businesses.<\/p>\n
“We look forward to the next joint activity later in the year.”<\/p>\n
Crowther said she had lots of positive feedback from both students and parents.<\/p>\n
“It was wonderful to see students from both schools working together, cheering each other on and enjoying the day together,” she said.<\/p>\n
“We’re very grateful for the support from the school communities and broader Heathcote community for volunteering their time to help at the event and donations of food to feed the hungry athletes.<\/p>\n
