Petherbridge’s wife Rosie Hill was formerly secretary for the group.<\/p>\n
“I think the group’s biggest strength is in the social aspect,” she said.<\/p>\n
“Members inspire and encourage each other, and some fantastic friendships have been formed.<\/p>\n
“I was lucky enough to be involved in several of the group’s trips away and there are great memories from each one.”<\/p>\n
Heathcote Artists has 16 members who meet at Heathcote Golf Club every Monday morning.<\/p>\n
“We have a waiting list as that is all we have room for,” Mclean said.<\/p>\n
The group has regular outings and exhibit their work in various locations, including Colbinabbin Hotel, The Watering Hole and Heathcote Winery.<\/p>\n
Earlier this year the group exhibited their work at the Australian Plant Society Heathcote Plant Sale and Flower Show.<\/p>\n
“Our primary motivation is to enjoy our crafts, but it is nice, and very encouraging, when we sell a piece,” Mclean said.<\/p>\n
The Heathcote Artists 20th Anniversary Art Show will be held at the RSL Hall, 127 High Street from 5-8 June.<\/p>\n
Opening Night, from 5-7pm on Friday 5 June is $5 per person entry.<\/p>\n
The show will open on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, and on Monday from 10am to 3pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
