IT\u2019S time to put your training gear on and get ready for this year\u2019s O\u2019Keefe Challenge.<\/p>\n
The O\u2019Keefe rail trail will fill with runners on Saturday, 6 May, and registrations are now open for the 42.5-kilometre marathon, as well as a number of other options including a half marathon, a five-kilometre run\/walk and 500 metre junior superhero dash.<\/p>\n
Event director Nigel Preston said it was a great opportunity for people to increase their health and fitness.<\/p>\n
\u201cRunners will also experience the O\u2019Keefe rail trail,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s such a fantastic community asset, and the five-kilometre route travels along the McIvor Creek.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Preston said it would be a great day out for everyone.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis year we’ve moved the event to a Saturday so it coincides with the local Heathcote market.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019ll be lots of things for people to do while some of the family are off running, and we’ll have community games and activities for the kids.\u201d<\/p>\n
