HEATHCOTE winegrowers are finally beginning their delayed harvest.<\/p>\n

She-Oak Hill Vineyard proprietor Jane Leckie said Chardonnay was their first pick of the2023 vintage.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe’re about three weeks behind what we’re normally at,\u201d she said. \u201cI’ve been looking at the Facebook memories and they’ve all been showing photos of the Chardonnay pick and more recently it\u2019s been of the Shiraz pick.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s great to get started, my background is viticulture, and a viticulturist always wants the grapes off and safely in the winery.\u201d<\/p>\n
