<\/p>\nVISION Australia is offering the chance for everyone to get involved in their Easter egg hunt at Rosalind Park on Good Friday.<\/p>\n
The event is a major fundraiser for the not-for-profit organisation, who provide support services to more than 25,000 people with blindness or low vision across Victoria and into NSW.<\/p>\n
There will be a total of 85,000 eggs to find, weighing in at almost a tonne in total.<\/p>\n
Regional client services manager Adam English said this year an all-accessible hunt has been added with numbers capped at 50 children per session.<\/p>\n
\u201cGiven the nature of the event itself where we typically would have 150 people each hunt, for some people that can be quite a sensory overload, so we wanted to acknowledge that this year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
There will be 23 hunts between 9.30am to 5pm and each lasts 20 minutes.<\/p>\n
Most of them will be for children of different age groups, including the first hunt specifically for those with special needs, and the last will be for adults who will be blindfolded to simulate vision impairment.<\/p>\n

Mr English said Vision Australia is 30 per cent dependent on fundraising and donations.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis type of event allows us to work into regions beyond Bendigo,\u201d he said. \u201cThe remote work we do is challenged by funding and the limitations of travel around that and how we can get paid.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the largest event we do outside of Carols by Candlelight and it helps us to reach those remote locations.\u201d<\/p>\n
If tickets sell out organisers hope to raise about $30,000.<\/p>\n
