A NIGHT clash between White Hills and Heathcote highlights Saturday\u2019s third round of senior footy in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote District Football Netball League.<\/p>\n
The ladder-leading Saints make the trek to the third-placed Demons\u2019 den in Scott Street for a showdown at 6.15pm.<\/p>\n
A brilliant start to Heathcote\u2019s season rolled on in Saturday\u2019s second round as the Andrew Saladino-coached Saints won at home against Leitchville Gunbower by 103 points.<\/p>\n
Up against a White Hills team coached by Jack Fallon and Jake Pallpratt will be a much stronger test of the Saints defensive skills and work rate.<\/p>\n
The Demons won at Leitchville in round one and then had the bye.<\/p>\n
Another big match will be at Toolleen where Mount Pleasant takes on Colbinabbin.<\/p>\n
The Adam Baird-coached Blues passed the 200-point mark in last Saturday\u2019s clash with Huntly as Ben Weightman, Mitch Rovers, Riley McNamara and Jack Hetherington racked up the possessions.<\/p>\n
Colbinabbin fought for a 59-52 victory under Elmore\u2019s lights as ruckman Jasper McArdle, Laine and Logan Fitzgerald, and Clint Shields led the way for the green and gold.<\/p>\n
Huntly is on home turf at Strauch Reserve to take on a Lockington Bamawm United on the rebound from defeat.<\/p>\n
The Hawks were outgunned by the Blues on Mount Pleasant\u2019s turf and are up against an opponent which has plenty of run and scoring power.<\/p>\n
In-form players for Huntly which is jointly coached by Harry Whittle and Jayden Cordy include captain Steve Kairn, Tori Ferguson, key forward Lachy Wilson, and Abe Sladden.<\/p>\n
Now coach of LBU, Stacy Fiske will be keen to mark a winning return against his former club.<\/p>\n
A formidable Cats\u2019 team includes Tyler Phillips, Brodie and Jesse Collins, Max Johnson and Riley McIvor.<\/p>\n
Finally, Leitchville-Gunbower is back at Leitchville to take on Elmore.<\/p>\n
The Shannon Keam-coached Bombers played well at home against White Hills in round one.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s been a one-one start for the Dylan Friedberger-coached Elmore which led Colbinabbin by five points at three quarter-time of last Saturday night\u2019s match.<\/p>\n
Key players for the Bloods include Dylan Gordon, Zack Holmberg, Zac Laffy and Sam McHale.<\/p>\n
