HEATHCOTE co-coach Brooke Bolton has said she believes the Saints are a great chance to kick off a winning run in Saturday\u2019s A Grade netball match at Toolleen.<\/p>\n
The Saints will be on Mount Pleasant\u2019s court for the round six match in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL season.<\/p>\n
A tough run for the Saints has included back-to-back matches against league powers in White Hills and Elmore.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe next four weeks are all winnable games,\u201d Bolton said of improving on a one and three record.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have been up against the league\u2019s top three which was tough, but also learnt a lot from those matches,\u201d said Bolton, who is co-coach of the Saints with Kelsey Hayes.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo be up in the second quarter against Elmore was a great effort,\u201d Bolton said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe lost a bit of momentum and a team as strong and experienced as Elmore was able to get away from us.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Saints were also without gun goaler Annalyse Carroll, so there was a switch to defence as Maeve Hogan went to attack.<\/p>\n
Although the final margin was 18 goals, Bolton could not fault the team\u2019s effort.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe attitude of the girls going into, during and after the match was excellent,\u201d she said. \u201cPlaying the full 15 minutes in every quarter is what we are working at.<\/p>\n
\u201cDo that against Mounts and we will be tough to beat.\u201d<\/p>\n
After the hit-out at Toolleen, Heathcote is at home to Lockington Bamawm United, away to North Bendigo, and then takes on Huntly and Colbinabbin at Barrack Reserve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
