{"id":89675,"date":"2023-05-27T04:55:41","date_gmt":"2023-05-26T18:55:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mcivortimes\/?p=89675"},"modified":"2023-05-25T11:42:05","modified_gmt":"2023-05-25T01:42:05","slug":"hawks-secure-new-sponsor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mcivortimes\/news\/hawks-secure-new-sponsor\/","title":{"rendered":"Hawks secure new sponsor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>REAL estate developer Wel.Co has announced it\u2019ll become a major naming sponsor of the Huntly Football Netball Club for the 2023 season.<\/p>\n<p>The company which will sponsor the Heathcote District Football League club has some AFL pedigree with former Essendon Football Club vice-captain Andrew Welsh the founder and managing director.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Welsh said Wel.Co was committed to backing regional sporting clubs that rely on sponsors and volunteers to survive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSupporting grassroots sporting clubs like Harlowe Huntly Football Netball Club is one way the Wel.Co team and I help build stronger more vibrant communities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSporting clubs, particularly in regional areas, deliver significant social and economic value to entire communities and with such a reliance on volunteers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s only through financial backing these organisations can continue to operate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wel.Co has also introduced a rewards program for members of the clubs they sponsor, by offering gift cards and club donations for purchases with the developer.<\/p>\n<p>For example, members of Huntly FNC who purchase a lot at the company\u2019s Springwood estate would receive a gift card and the football club would receive a cash bonus.<\/p>\n<p>Club president Jason Bawden said the sponsorship would play a role in the greater community not just at the football club.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to have Wel.Co on board as our naming sponsor for the 2023 season,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy extending its support to local organisations like the Harlowe Huntly Hawks, Wel.Co is playing an important role in strengthening the community and contributing to the overall spirit of Huntly.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>REAL estate developer Wel.Co has announced it\u2019ll become a major naming sponsor of the Huntly Football Netball Club for the 2023 season.
