A LIGHT and sound show complete with the latest in technology is coming to Rosalind Park in time for the winter school holidays.<\/p>\n
Electric Wonderland has been created by central Victorian audio-visual service provider Power AV, and will open the night of Friday, 23 June.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a year in the making,\u201d said Power AV creative and event manager Alicia Villiers.<\/p>\n
\u201cElectric Wonderland I think is the perfect name for it because it just is a wonderland full of different light and sound technology, and that\u2019s been inspired from the latest that\u2019s been happening in that space.<\/p>\n
The installation will be similar to previous light shows, said Ms Villiers, but will be denser, involving half of the park and up to the cascades.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got over 11,000 LED pixel balls, giant inflatable installations including a giant astronaut with a dynamic visor. His visor changes depending on where he is in outer space,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019ll also be a light symphony with 90 two-metre LED light tubes hung up in the canopies of the trees that will be light-to-music.\u201d<\/p>\n
Other features include an interactive flower park and 20 lasers producing over 20,000 beams.<\/p>\n
People will be able to walk through the installation at their own pace and it\u2019ll be suggested visitors follow a suggested route.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is a map to ensure people don\u2019t miss things because we have sort of hidden things,\u201d said Ms Villiers.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have under the cascades a magic dragon that lights up, so it\u2019s definitely worth checking out the map.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have been inspired by the latest in technology that we can find from other light shows, from suppliers, and things like that.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve tried to make it quite interactive. We\u2019ve got an interactive kids\u2019 park with musical stepping-stones and the blooming flowers that you step under and they bloom above your head, and things like that.\u201d<\/p>\n
