FOR the first time in six weeks, Heathcote is back in the top five of the A Grade netball ladder in the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL season.<\/p>\n
A 14-goal win at North Bendigo last Saturday has put the Saints back in fifth place for the first time since the round two victory over Leitchville Gunbower.<\/p>\n
The Heathcote line-up which is jointly coached by Brooke Bolton and Kelsey Hayes has a great chance to build on a one-game and 23 per cent buffer on North Bendigo when the season resumes on 17 June.<\/p>\n
Heathcote will be at Barrack Reserve to play Huntly.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have really built some momentum across the past three weeks,\u201d Bolton said of a one-goal loss at Toolleen and then wins against Lockington Bamawm United and North Bendigo.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe team is starting to gel and show what it is capable of. We knew if we won at North Bendigo we would sneak into the top five on percentage.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a long season and it only really matters if you are still in there at the end of the year.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith that said, I think it\u2019s really exciting for the team and the club that we have put ourselves in a position where that is achievable.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Saints also regain gun goal shooter Annalyse Carroll next round.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnnalyse is a great inclusion for us,\u201d said Bolton. \u201cAnnalyse gives us flexibility to make changes if things are not working, with plans to use Maeve Hogan at either end of the court.\u201d<\/p>\n
