A REMATCH of 2022 grand finalists, Lockington Bamawm United and Mount Pleasant, completes the first half of the Bendigo Bank Heathcote DFNL senior footy home and away series this Saturday.<\/p>\n
The LBU Cats are on home turf at Lockington to take on Mounts.<\/p>\n
Last September it was LBU which charged to an 89-69 victory against the Blues in the grand final but both teams have changed markedly since then.<\/p>\n
Now coached by Stacy Fiske after he crossed from Huntly, LBU is fifth on a three and four record and under pressure from Leitchville Gunbower.<\/p>\n
Mounts has Adam Baird and Ben Weightman as playing coaches and both have been instrumental in there five and two record to be in second place.<\/p>\n
Third in the premiership race on and also on five and two for the season, Heathcote is back home at Barrack Reserve to take on Huntly.<\/p>\n
The Andrew Saladino-coached Saints have Corey Grindlay in superb touch in attack.<\/p>\n
Grindlay has capped on the work of a midfield and on-ball brigade led by Liam Jacques and Braden Padmore to kick 41 goals.<\/p>\n
Last August it was Colbinabbin which ended White Hills run in a 111-76 result in the first semi-final.<\/p>\n
The Grasshoppers and Demons meet again this Saturday in the White Hills den at Winslow Constructors Oval in Scott Street.<\/p>\n
The Jed Brain-coached Colbinabbin is seventh on a two and five record, and a win for the green and gold could draw level with LBU, should the Cats be beaten.<\/p>\n
