OPERATORS of the Heathcote Swimming Pool, Belgravia Leisure are currently recruiting lifeguards to work during the 2023\/24 season.<\/p>\n
Applicants must be at least 16 years old, and no previous experience or CV is required to sign up.<\/p>\n
Seasonal pools manager Jake Thrum said successful online applicants would receive free training that would lead to qualifications in first aid, CPR, and lifesaving.<\/p>\n
“We would absolutely love to welcome some more Heathcote locals to our team for the upcoming 2023\/24 season,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Mr Thrum said they were looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for water safety who would be able to help swimmers have a safe and enjoyable experience.<\/p>\n
“The Heathcote pool is a family friendly seasonal pool that is an extremely important part of the local community,” he said.<\/p>\n
Lifeguards\u2019 responsibilities include helping swimmers, pool supervision, first aid, and assistance to other departments as required.<\/p>\n
Successful applicants will have access to a range of benefits including gym membership and an employee assistance program.<\/p>\n
Candidates are required to have a reasonable level of health and fitness and must be either an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or hold a visa that allows them to undertake work in Australia.<\/p>\n
The summer season at Heathcote Swimming Pool is scheduled to start on Saturday 18 November and run until Sunday 19 March.<\/p>\n
The pool, located in Barrack Reserve at Heathcote, is open seven days a week but is closed when the forecast temperature is less than 22 degrees.<\/p>\n
