A NEW head of day-today operations at Bendigo Health has been announced with Eileen Hannagan to step into the CEO role in October.<\/p>\n
Current CEO Peter Faulkner will remain in the position until Ms Hannagan take up the role.<\/p>\n
Mr Faulkner oversaw the $60 million refurbishment of the old hospital, construction of a new hydrotherapy pool, and upgrades to the residential care facilities.<\/p>\n
Chair of Bendigo Health, Dr Ewa Pijeko, said the organisation was looking forward to welcoming Ms Hannagan and her dedication and leadership qualities had stood out to the board.<\/p>\n
\u201cMs Hannagan is deeply committed to patient advocacy and believes in empowering individuals to actively participate in their healthcare journey,\u201d Dr Pijeko said.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe has championed initiatives to improve access to quality healthcare services, reduce treatment disparities and enhance the overall patient experience.<\/p>\n
\u201cHer compassionate approach and unwavering dedication to patient care and staff well-being, have earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues, patients, and healthcare professionals alike.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dr Pijeko said Ms Hannagan\u2019s ability to work with stakeholders was also aligned with Bendigo Health\u2019s aims for increased collaboration and growth throughout the region.<\/p>\n
