A LOCAL sports club is set to action a new idea to raise funds for ground improvements and organisational activities.<\/p>\n
Kangaroo Flat Football Netball Club is putting on an antiques and collectibles fair and is seeking to attract sellers from across Victoria and South Australia.<\/p>\n
Club committee member Leanne Mitchell said they\u2019ve got over 35 vendors booked so far, and in addition, members of the \u2018Roos will be selling snags with the Kangaroo Flat Cricket Club.<\/p>\n
\u201cEach store holder brings something different and unique,\u201d said Ms Mitchell.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt will go into the grounds here at the football club. We\u2019ve just had new netball courts put in, so we are looking at a playground in the near future.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Mitchell expects an eclectic mix of things on offer, including vintage glassware, \u2018man cave\u2019 items, vintage furniture, petrol tins, bottles, hot wheels, Indigenous art, and memorabilia.<\/p>\n
Sellers will be both professional dealers and hobbyists.<\/p>\n
Kangaroo Flat Football Netball Club is home to about 10 junior football teams, three senior football sides, and five netball squads.<\/p>\n
The event will be based at Bendigo Showgrounds from Saturday 29 July until Sunday 30 July. Entry is $5 for adults and kids are free.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
