AS the weather warms up, and particularly after recent rain, shrubs and trees are growing rapidly and Ambulance Victoria have issued a timely reminder about street numbers.<\/p>\n
\u201cClear and visible numbers are crucial when emergency services need to find an address quickly,\u201d said an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson.<\/p>\n
\u201cInaccurate, unclear or missing numbering can make it harder for our paramedics to locate a patient and delay our arrival at time-critical emergencies.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe would ask all residents to ensure their property numbers are visible both day and night and to regularly check numbering hasn\u2019t faded or become obstructed.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sergeant Holly Lembke from Heathcote Police Station echord the ambulance service calls.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt can be a problem when emergencies occur and valuable time is spent looking for numbers,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
