Melbourne-based Sven \u2018t Jolle, who\u2019s originally from Belgium.<\/span><span it\u2019s really materially complex work involving welding, casting, all sorts of traditional sculptural techniques,\u201d said Starr.<\/span><span had a longstanding interest in the state of inequality and inequity in terms of class, the haves and have nots, and how institutions such as governments and corporations interrelate.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:256}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cIn the case of Sven, I\u2019m aware of the dire state of affairs that seem to be coming at us from every direction globally, but also locally.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:256}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cIt\u2019s very hard to be optimistic at the moment, and this has been the state of affairs for some time now, certainly post-COVID, but maybe the last six months.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:256}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cWhile this general climate is something that\u2019s palpable, and I wanted to make an exhibition that confronted that directly, often exhibitions also have a positivist stance.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:256}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Starr said she wanted to \u201ctest\u201d what an data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cIt\u2019s just a sense of the time, and the experiment to see what art can do in terms of expressing some of this sentiment,\u201d she said.<\/span><span pieces,<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Collecting Debt <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">by \u2018t Jolle and <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Nuisance Flows <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">by<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">Lauren Burrow.<\/span><span young generation against the old generation, often the young generation will have to pay for the debt created by the boomers or whatever,\u201d said \u2018t Jolle.<\/span><span collection, is a metal sculpture of three birds perched on ledges one on top of the other called <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Trickle Down<\/span><\/i><span Jolle said it was a made as a tongue-in-cheek criticism of trickle-down economics and shows a bird on top with the lower two increasingly ugly and less looked after.<\/span><span
